Personal Prayer Power
Mission statement
The mission of Personal Prayer Power is to change lives by enhancing and energizing the way individuals connect with God during private prayer. Our goal is to unite Biblical principles with personal experience to promote interactive prayer, helping prayer become "the place where things happen between God and me."
Vision
To help individuals of all ages and levels of faith to become closer to God through personal prayer.
Internal vision
We provide meaningful exchanges about personal prayer in churches and small groups through the Personal Prayer Power video series, participant and leader guidebooks, literature, books, events, public appearances, and the PPP website.
Core values
There are nine core values that define who we are:
-
Christian. We are distinctly Christian in theology and practice. We believe in God our Father and Creator, in Jesus Christ His Son and our Savior and in the Holy Spirit, our Helper and Comforter as revealed in the Bible. We practice our theology by following the example of Jesus to love and to reach out to all God's children.
-
Non Denominational. We welcome all Christians of every denomination as well as those who have no formal church ties.
-
Respectful of Individuality. We believe that people communicate with God in unique ways according to their personalities, communication styles, experiences and church traditions. Therefore, we accept and respect diversity in personal prayer practices.
-
Honest. We acknowledge the pain and the deep questions of faith asked by those who have been disappointed by what seems like unanswered prayer.
-
Practical. Everything we share must be practical enough to use every day wherever we go.
-
Action Oriented. We are not dispensing facts about prayer. Our aim is to motivate and enable individuals to try new ways of praying.
-
Called. We believe that God has called us to this mission and that through personal prayer all individuals can also find their own unique calling from God.
-
Visionary. We believe that God can give us His future directions as well as the power and resources to carry them out.
-
Focused. Our sole purpose is to promote personal prayer. We are not a forum for social, ecclesiastical, cultural or political issues.
